    Dr. Islam has 13 years experience of teaching Undergraduate and Post graduate students and 17 years of research experience in the field of Animal Reproduction, Gynaecology & Obstetrics. He has guided 06 M.V.Sc. students as Major Advisor and 03 students as Co-Advisor. He acted as Reviewer for 12 National/ International Journals of repute. He is also currently associated as Section Editor/ Editorial Board member in two scientific journals. His areas of interest are; Animal Reproduction, Andrology, Assisted Reproductive Technologies, Gamete Preservation, Semen Biology, Ruminant Infertility, Immuno-Reproduction, Reproductive Biology, Poultry Production, Ruminant Reproduction, Swine Reproduction.

Technologies Developed:

  1. Transportation of gonads from dead/slaughtered animals to the laboratory for gamete recovery and their use in in-vitro fertilization
  2. Vanaraja chicken farming under deep litter intensive housing system for chicken meat production in Sikkim
  3. Technology of low cost deep litter housing model for pigs
  4. Designed creep area within low cost deep litter housing system to reduce neonatal mortality
