  • About:

My current research focus is on epidemiology of viruses affecting pig health and production and muscle stem cell biology. I have experience in working in the area of apoptosis, oncolytic viruses, molecular epidemiological studies of bacteria and virus, expression profiling of miRNA in disease, sex-specific markers and in area of assisted reproductive technologies. Area of specialization: Animal Biotechnology (Disease epidemiology, molecular biology, In vitro fertilization, Stem Cells)

Technologies Developed:

  1. The protocol for production of embryo through in-vitro fertilization (IVF) of oocytes retrieved with ultrasound guided ovum pickup (OPU) technique in yak in the research team
  2. Method to develop a PCR based simultaneous detection of N, M and GP5 gene from clinical samples for diagnosis of Porcine reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome Virus
