GUIDELINES FOR SUBMITTING SAMPLES TO FOOD QUALITY CONTROL LAB, ICAR-NRC on PIG, RANI, GUWAHATI


Users can download 'Job Request form' and 'Feedback form' from ICAR-NRCP web page 'www.nrcp.in' [Food Quality Control Lab >>
GUIDELINES]. Details regarding user's job description and experimental conditions should be given in the job order form. These forms must be duly signed by the applicant.

The users can come in-person or send their samples along with a duly signed letter addressed to 'The Director, ICAR-National Research Centre on Pig, Rani, Guwahati -781131, Assam'. The packet should clearly super scribe with the phrase 'Food sample for laboratory analysis at QC Lab'. The letter should also mention that the services provided by QC Lab of ICAR-NRCP will duly acknowledged by the client in all the publications, thesis/ reports etc. Kindly send us the publication reference (journal name/ volume/ name of authors/ date of publication etc.) to ICAR-NRCP (Email: abiicarnrcp@gmail.com).

Important notes

1.
Please send the samples in sufficient quantity. Samples will be disposed off as per the SOPs followed in the Lab.
2.
Samples shall be send in appropriate containers (e.g. sterile containers in case of microbiology) and under suitable storage conditions to prevent quality deterioration during the transit period. Laboratory will not be responsible for any quality deterioration happened to the sample during transit.
3.
The analytical data are provided only for research/development purpose. These cannot be used as certificates in legal disputes.
4.
The filled in 'job request form' is mandatory and has to be duly signed by client.
5.
Researchers and students are advised to send their application/request form duly signed by PI/Supervisor/HoD/ Head of Institution, as applicable.
6.
The samples to be analyzed should be pure and free from any contamination with infectious or hazardous material.
7.
Unstable and explosive compounds are not accepted for analysis.
8.
Feedback on the service experience and the details of acknowledgement of the services rendered by the Lab are solicited on regular basis.
9.
Interpretation of spectra not undertaken normally.
10.
Results will be provided to the client only after making complete payments w.r.t. user charges and/or analytical charges, as applicable.

Payment of testing/user charges

Testing charges need to be deposited at ICAR-NRCP either in the form of Demand Draft in favour of 'Director, ICAR-NRC on Pig' and payable at 'Guwahati' or via net banking to ICAR-NRCP bank account (Account Number: 10029420452, State Bank of India, Khanapara Branch, IFS Code: SBIN0009945) and submit the printout of the transaction.
