Celebration of World Environment Day and Swachh Bharat Mission

ICAR-NRC on Pig, Guwahati has celebrated World Environment Day on 5th June, 2015. On this occasion, Institute staff actively participated in plantation of saplings in the premises of the Institute campus. In addition, Prof. H. Pathak, Department of Environmental Sciences, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi had delivered a lecture on 8th June, 2015 as an awareness lecture for Swachh Bharat Mission. In the lecture on 'Climate change and agricultural impact, adaptation and mitigations', he discussed thoroughly on various issues related to global warming and their probable impact on agriculture. He had also discussed the mitigation strategies related to global warming.
